His mission is to deliver high-quality, relevant, and engaging content that informs, educates, and connects the audience with the latest trends, insights, and solutions in the field.

Daniel Thomas is a technology writer, researcher, and content producer for CyberRisk Alliance. He has over a decade of experience writing on the most critical topics of interest for the cybersecurity community, including cloud computing, artificial intelligence and machine learning, data analytics, threat hunting, automation, IAM, and digital security policies. He previously served as a senior editor for Defense News, and as the director of research for GovExec News in Washington, D.C.. He is currently based in beautiful Bend, Oregon, where — if not at his writing desk — he can almost certainly be found snowboarding out on Mt. Bachelor.

Erik Dullea is a cybersecurity and data privacy attorney with experience in the aviation, critical infrastructure and government contracts sectors. He recently returned to Husch Blackwell after working in the Office of General Counsel for the NSA. He is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) and Information Privacy Manager (CIPM).

Michael Farnum is an Advisory CISO and has been in the IT and Information Security fields since 1994. During this time, Michael has held numerous senior cybersecurity consulting, architecture, and leadership roles in various industries such as healthcare, staffing, and software development. Michael has spent the last several years working for cybersecurity solutions providers in the consulting, application security, and reseller spaces, where he has helped numerous organizations assess and build their security and compliance programs. ​

In 2010, Michael founded HOU.SEC.CON, a non-profit cybersecurity conference in Houston, with over 1000 attendees annually. In addition to organizing a security conference, Michael often speaks at conferences such as RSA, Infosecurity Europe, and several BSides events, and he is also a prolific cybersecurity podcaster.​

Prior to his career in IT and security, Michael served in the US Army and drove an M1A1 main battle tank in Desert Shield/Storm and spent 2+ years as a land surveyor.

Mark Weatherford is Chief Strategy Officer and a director on the board at the National Cybersecurity Center.

Mark has held a variety of executive-level cybersecurity roles including Global Information Security Strategist at Booking Holdings, Chief Cybersecurity Strategist at vArmour, Principal at The Chertoff Group, Chief Security Officer at the North American Electric Reliability Corporation, and the first Chief Information Security Officer for the state of Colorado. He was also appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2008 to serve as California’s first Chief Information Security Officer, and in 2011 he was appointed by the Obama Administration as the nation’s first Deputy Under Secretary for Cybersecurity at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Over the last two decades, Johansen has helped make hundreds of organizations more secure. His mission is to leave the Internet a more secure place than he found it. He has helped organizations handle billions of users' information securely and increase brand trust among their customers. He is currently the Head of Software Security at Reddit.

Dan Gould is a product marketing director at Zscaler. Prior to Zscaler, Dan kept busy at Cloudflare, Illumio, Cisco and Sourcefire, touching on many key cybersecurity products and challenges. Dan is committed to—and humbled by—Zscaler’s mission to secure, simplify, and transform business.

Simon Maple is the Principal Developer Advocate at Snyk, a Java Champion since 2014, JavaOne Rockstar speaker in 2014 and 2017, Duke’s Choice award winner, Virtual JUG founder and organiser, and London Java Community co-leader. He is an experienced speaker, having presented at JavaOne, DevoxxBE, UK, & FR, DevSecCon, SnykCon, JavaZone, Jfokus, JavaLand, JMaghreb and many more including many JUG tours.
