Matt Cerny is a highly experienced cybersecurity professional with over 18 years of experience in the field. In addition to his cybersecurity expertise, he also has 10 years of experience in infrastructure. He holds several industry cyber security certifications and serves as a governing body member of different security communities in the mid-Atlantic region, demonstrating his commitment to staying at the forefront of the industry. Currently, he serves as the Director of Cyber security at a global life sciences company, where he is responsible for protecting the organization from cyber threats and ensuring the security of its digital systems.

Malcolm Harkins is an independent board member and advisor to several organizations. He is also an executive coach to CISOs and others in a wide variety of information risk roles. Harkins engages in a wide variety of peer outreach activities to drive improvements across the world in the understanding of cyber risks and best practices to manage and mitigate those risks. Key areas of focus include the ethics around technology risk, social responsibility, total cost of controls, and driving more industry accountability.

Adrian Sanabria, host of Enterprise Security Weekly, is a successful generalist with over two decades of experience hacking, fixing, breaking, building, and teaching in InfoSec. Carmen V. Lidz serves as the Vice Chancellor and Chief Information Officer at Los Angeles Community Colleges District (LACCD), accountable for technology strategy and operations in support of over 230,000 students across the 9 colleges. She is charged with driving a forward-looking IT strategy to enable a diverse student community to have access to higher education and to complete their studies.

Olivier Caleff is a board member at FIRST whose day job is CISO and Cyber-Resilience & Crisis Director at cyber services and security training firm Erium. His specializations include incident response, SOC operations, risk management, cloud security, IoT Security, training and education and more.

Serge Droz is vice chairman of the FIRST board of directors, with a full-time role as Senior Technical Advisor at Switzerland’s Federal Department of Foreign Affairs.He previously worked at ProtonMail as a senior IT security expert and seasoned incident responder. Serge has worked in private industry and academia in Switzerland and Canada, as well as in different security roles at the national CERT in Switzerland for more than 15 years. He also served for two years in the European Union Agency for Network and Information Security permanent stakeholder group.

Chris Gibson is the executive director of FIRST, bringing with him a wealth of relevant and up-to-date experience in setting up and managing CERTs at the very highest levels of the worldwide Information and Cyber Security community.
Chris spent over 12 years working in the Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) whilst at Citigroup and, for 10 years, has been among FIRST’s executive leaders, including 2 yearsas Chair. Within FIRST he implemented the Fellowship program, which was created to fund CERTs from UN-designated “Least Developed Nations” (LDCs) allowing them both to join FIRST and attend conferences and training.
Chris joined the UK Government's CERT-UK team in November 2013 to build and launch the UK’s first formally chartered national CERT, joined Close Brothers as Chief Information Security Officer in November 2016, moved to Orwell Group as CISO in Jul 2018 and joined FIRST as it’s Executive Director in May 2019.
Chris’ experience has allowed him to work with colleagues from both inside some of the world’s largest global financial institutions with the complexities that brings and also with colleagues from the incident response community, with members ranging from Microsoft and Oracle through to the national CERTs of Azerbaijan and Indonesia.

James is a distinguished leader in Incident Response (IR) management and cybersecurity strategy. With over a decade of experience, John is renowned for his expertise in designing, implementing, and refining proactive and reactive service offerings to combat cybersecurity threats. He excels in orchestrating swift and effective responses to security breaches while staying "left of breach" to identify and mitigate potential risks before they escalate.

He is adept at managing IR retainer programs, overseeing all aspects from outreach to policy development. Known for his client-centric approach, John serves as the primary point of contact throughout the incident response engagement lifecycle, forging strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.

Steve Baer is the Global VP of Field Sales and Services. He responsible for our Presales Systems Engineering, Professional Services, and Incident Response Teams.

Steve has been in the InfoSec industry for over 20 years starting out in banking and e-commerce then moving on to specialized technologies at RSA, Trustwave, and Dell- SecureWorks. He has also played pivotal leadership roles as executive sponsors and board advisor. He is an active participant in Infragard, The Chicago FBI Citizen’s Academy, and is on the Steering Board for the U.S. Secret Service Chicago Electronic Crimes Task Force.
